Hermantown Middle School has been named a 2026 CS Certified Spotlight School, a recognition awarded by CharacterStrong to schools demonstrating strong and intentional implementation of practices that support student belonging, well-being, and engagement.
The CS Certified Schools program honors schools that are translating commitment into action through thoughtful systems, adult practices, and meaningful schoolwide implementation. Impact School recognition is awarded to schools that demonstrate a deeper level of implementation and a clear commitment to creating positive outcomes and experiences for students and staff.
“Hermantown Middle School is an example of what it looks like when a school commits to this work with purpose and consistency,” said Cory Notestine, VP of Services & Leadership Development. “Being recognized as a CS Certified Spotlight School reflects the strength of their implementation and the intentional work happening each day to support students well.”
This recognition highlights the efforts of the educators and leaders at Hermantown Middle School who are working to ensure students experience a school environment marked by connection, support, and opportunity to grow.
Schools recognized through the 2026 CS Certified Schools program will be celebrated at the CharacterStrong National Conference, July 23–24, 2026, where honorees will be recognized publicly among peers from across the country.
