Hermantown will try to halt a three-game losing streak at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday when it hosts Duluth Denfeld in a Lake Superior Conference boys basketball game. The Hawks lost to the Hunters 91-51 on Jan. 20 in Duluth.

In that meeting, Denfeld shot 37-for-68 from the field and outrebounded Hermantown 41-22. Carter Brown led the Hunters with 31 points and 13 rebounds, while Lee Brooks added 18 points and Joseph Dupree Jr. and Sawyer Morrow each scored 12. Antonio Brown contributed 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Hawks were led by Sawyer Senst with 16 points. Corbin Petcoff added eight points and Noah Schulz and Ben Sundland each scored seven.

Hermantown (6-15, 4-5 Lake Superior Conference) has dropped four of its last five, including an 83-43 loss at Bemidji on Saturday at the Sanford Center. The Hawks also lost at Chisago Lakes 98-75 on Feb. 9 and at Grand Rapids 88-50 on Feb. 5.

Hermantown's last win came Feb. 4, a 107-77 home victory over Rock Ridge.

Denfeld (14-8, 7-1) enters in second place in the conference standings, one game behind Grand Rapids (8-1).

The Hunters have won seven of eight conference games and remain in contention for the Lake Superior Conference title. Hermantown sits fourth in the standings behind Grand Rapids, Denfeld and Hibbing (6-1).

Following Tuesday’s game, Hermantown travels to Rock Ridge on Thursday and to Superior on Friday before closing the regular season with home games against North Branch on Feb. 26 and a road game at Duluth East on Feb. 27.
