In the PM on Thursday 9/21/2023 the Arrowhead Hawk Circle entrance will be CLOSED! Students, Staff. Parents and Guardians will have to use the Ugstad/Hawk Circle Entrance/Exit.
Just a quick update on the Final Paving for both Ugstad and Arrowhead Roads.
Thursday 9/21/2023, Ugstad Road Southbound will be closed @ Twin Pines Street (near Hwy 53 end of the paving) @ 7:30 to finish the paving to the South on Ugstad Road towards Hawk Circle.
Hawk Circle will ONLY be accessible Northbound from Arrowhead/Ugstad intersection.
Arrowhead/Hawk Circle access will accessible in the AM on Thursday 9/21/2023 also.
Saturday - West Arrowhead will be closed for paving in front of the district office.
Monday - West Arrowhead will be one lane from the Elementary School to Ugstad - please allow extra time.
Tuesday - Ugstad will be closed from Hwy 53 to Hawk Circle Drive. In the morning parents and students can access Hawk Circle Drive from Ugstad if coming from the South (from District office headed North on Ugstad).
On Friday 9/15/23 from 9-2 the intersection of Ugstad Road and Arrowhead Road will be CLOSED for grading and shaping in preparation for paving.

š§ Construction Update from City of Hermantown š§
Final paving efforts for Ugstad Road, beginning from Arrowhead Road south to Maple Grove Road, will take place on Friday, September 8, beginning at 7:30 a.m. This will cause significant delays in the areas where the work is being performed.
Non-residents should avoid this area entirely on Friday, while residents should be aware of delays when equipment is at their homes.
Paving at the entrances and exits to Truman and Roosevelt is expected to occur between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and residents in this area should make every effort to avoid non-emergency trips during this time.
We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as this project continues.
š§ Construction Update from City of Hermantown š§
As part of the Ugstad Road/Arrowhead Road project, there will be a full closure of the intersection of Arrowhead and Ugstad roads on Wednesday, August 30. This is expected to be a one-day closure to complete the necessary work in the intersection.
Hermantown Community Schools ISD 700 and Hermantown Arena will be accessible, but the intersection itself will be fully closed. Other routes will be necessary to avoid this intersection.
Road Construction Update from City of Hermantown - Arrowhead Road near Ugstad Road and the schools will be reopening soon. Following that reopening, Ugstad Road north of Arrowhead Road will close completely on Thursday, August 31, for paving to occur. Residents will still be able to reach their homes, but delays are to be expected. During this closure, access to the school will be available from Hawk Circle off Arrowhead Road.
A reminder that both ends of Hawk Circle will be open for the start of school, although they may be unpaved, and even more care than usual should be taken while driving in this area for the start of the school year.
Access to the School Campus will only be via the HAWK Circle/Ugstad Road Entrance to the school campus. Major work on the Arrowhead Road portion of the job will start Monday 8/14/23. There are numerous pipe crossings that will have Arrowhead Road completely shut off to traffic for approximately 2 weeks or longer. There will still be construction on the
Ugstad/Hawk Circle area, so please use CAUTION!
The new solar panels were connected today. This was part of a grant in which purchase and installation were at no cost and we will save approximately $3,000 per year in energy costs.
William Wietman has accepted the middle school principal position. A graduate of Hermantown in 1998 - currently serving as the MS principal in Ortonville, MN.
